Thirsty Thursday Afternoon... enjoy!

8track - always plan ahead. Light make full stops on red and yellow, stop signs just make small circle in your lane till it's clear. Practice till you don't have to think twice. Remember those f'n four wheeler don't give a sh*t... beware!

Good to see she loves you so much.
Call the bluff.

-you get away for three months.
-she can’t get blood from a stone.
-you return to the swamp, killing coons in peace.

Perhaps rfenst could blow the dust off of his legal letterhead and send her a note to send a message.

That situation needs to be resolved.

85 with moderate humidity. No breeze.

Shorter ride today, I think.

Had to run a quick errand.

The car said the temps were down to 92.

I rolled the windows down and enjoyed the cool weather.

Everything is relative.

Sitting at my 83-year old mother's house waiting for AT&T to come and set-up her new Apple watch. Apparently, it monitors her blood oxygen, heart rate, etc. Apparently, it has a feature that can tell if she were to fall down and not be able to get up and the built in phone works at any distance away from her cell, even if her phone is in another state (per the technician). Whatever makes her happy...

Well if you're comfortable with a slightly less than real world test, I guess that's fine too

COVID scare today.

Our daughter and her two young girls came over as usual this morning. Youngest granddaughter, Ashley, was coughing and had a runny nose so my wife made them go home and find a place to have her tested. She just started pre-school this month and masks are optional so who knows if she caught something from another kid. They went to a hospital to get tested and just got the call a few minutes ago that it was negative.

Whew!

same scenario here...our youngest grand daughter has been staying home from pre-school at our house since Tuesday...same symptoms w a mild fever... and she can still taste and smell foods, so we're not too worried...so far, no positive tests at the pre- school,

Daughter's school re-opened last week...4 positive cases so far...1 student and 3 staff

My kids have been in pre-school since April/May (they have a summer program). As usual, wife and I have basically been constantly sick the whole time, and the girls float from one cold to another, including fevers, coughs, runny noses, etc. If I got tested every time we/they got sick I would need to have a lab on standby at the house... None of their fevers have lasted more than 12 hours (school takes their temps on the way in).

The four year old came home one day from the summer "camp" program and said "we made up a new game today. One person opens their mouth and another person spits in it..."

I about killed somebody.

Mornin' dudes... up way too early again.

Trying to keep up wit da pup is wearing me out. Coffee and gym real early so I can get him to da park before it gets too hot... then the little bastige wants to play again later in the afternoon when all I wanna do is sit on my ass and have a drink and a smoke.

Love him, though. He's awesome.

Got a small rental house I am turning into a commercial kitchen for a little business the wife and I have started. The wife is a pastry chef and I make some pretty good Pimento cheese. We've been selling our stuff at Farmer's markets and it has blown up. Neither one of us can make stuff fast enough. Especially the damn cheese. I gotta admit, my Pim cheese is pretty good.

Busy as hell, but it's for US, not for The Man. I don't mind working hard for myself and the wife

Been meaning to ask. Does anyone have one of those hot water recirculation units? Our mountain house has one and no matter which tap you turn on it's instant hot water. Just wondering what it would cost to install one. In our Scottsdale house I usually have to run the water for like 30-45 seconds before it gets kinda/sorta hot.

In researching the serial # turns out this thing was manufactured in 1994. Spose I can't complain too much. I don't run as well as I did in '94 either

I looked at some recirculating/tankless options but quite a bit more $$$$ for those

I’ve got a tankless. More expensive but saves a ton of space.

Also requires a ton of maintenance in comparison.

I was thinking more of saving all the water that is waisted and the convenience. Space I have but water is scarce in the desert and the situation is getting worse all the time.

Especially if you have hard water. Here the water has few minerals and tends to be more corrosive so tankless are good to go, but tank water heaters need their sacrificial anode changed out every few years.

Yeah but a tankless saves energy and that will help with global warming and soon you’ll have abundant water. That’s science.
