as long as the hurricane drifted west and I shouldn't lose power, guess I'll shave and shower and maybe walk around the hood looking for windblown bounty to claim.

been wondering if you have a secret recipe or just a favored brand...

I’m lazy, so we use a mix. Try to bring it with us to Wyoming, but had a lot of relatives visit this summer, so had to resupply from Amazon.

I can hook you up, if you’d like to try it....

Happy birthday danm!

My parents live 10 minutes from where the weather channel was broadcasting in Narragansett, RI. They had a tree go down in the back yard but we're otherwise fine. Of course my 79 year old father with a heart condition cut it up with a chain saw and stacked it....

much obliged but not necessary. thanks though.

I make one once in a while starting with V8 low sodium and the usual additions but always with white horseradish.

Haven't paired with a cigar though. Any wrapper in particular seem better to you?

Thanks guys. Normal people do shots with their friends on birthdays.

Brother in law and I both ate a scorpion pepper.

He bought me a bottle of scotch too, but couldn't do that before work.

shouldn't have done the pepper before work either

Up at 0400 and coffee is in the cup.

A little scare over the weekend. Wife was away on a trip and Friday night I started to feel ill. Within about one hour I was running a fever, had aches and chills, headache ,etc. Breakthroughs are becoming more common so I thought it could be the rona. Crawled in bed, had a miserable night but by morning I was feeling much better.
When the wife got home we both made appointments for tests since we are heading to Minnesota in a few days and have reservations for car, AirB&B in multiple locations, wedding to attend.
Both came back negative.

Thanks Izon. For a pair of flaming liberal "depend on the government" people, my folks can be pretty self sufficient form time to time.

DED, you been hanging around day care centers again? That stuff is all over my kids' center. Glad you tested negative.

Also, will all you chumps please stop PMing me about the auction for DED's 'vette. It looks like he is going to pull through, so the auction is off.

Smoked a pork shoulder yesterday, so it’s safe to say I’ll be having a Cuban sammich this week!

Leftover Mississippi pot roast from yesterday. Thinking a shredded beef with BBQ sauce and pickles sammich will be the deal-e-o tonight.

This term's grades are coming in. Sitting on an A in the cybersecurity course, B+ in the humanities course (I really didn't put much effort into it. It was a silly course that I needed to fill in a check box). So, although lazy in doing so, I achieved being an 89% humanity human.

This term: Structured database course and a system requirements and implementation course.

The database course will be sort of new to me. Looks like a bunch of SQL stuff. Haven't dealt with SQL in like 15 years so it'll be good to dust off the cobwebs.

The system requirements course looks like an organizational management/project management course again. Break out MS Project and doing Gantt charts again.

Every day is Cuban sandwich day for me. I'll eat a good one anytime I get the chance.

In fact, I am going down to Little Havana in Miami this weekend and will be having a huge lunch at the world famous Cafe Versailles- and then check out the cigar stores and factories!!!

Pepin (El Rey de los Habanos) and LGC (El Credito) had factories there years ago. I'd like to visit them and tour around (or at least snoop) them again, if they are still there.

Any specific suggestions or recommendations on Calle Ocho only (not Padron or Perdomo)?

pastrami on 3 day old bolillo roll with 2 dill pickle spears will definitely cause the sharts...

fortunately it was anticipated and I made it to the toilet in time before messing up some boxers...

I avoid those biohazard sites. I had two girls that brought everything short of the zika and ebola home from day care. Wife was a teacher and had been exposed to every germ bomb out there and had ironclad resistance built up but I got more than my share for many years.

Fishing was fkn awesome today. Limited out on Yellowtail. Landed every fish I hooked.

Got my favorite jig stuck in the rocks and the captain managed to get it out. His crew got tipped well today!

Good Tuesday Morning! It's 77° on the way to 94° and I'm off to the range today.

My wife and I are enjoying the Bosch series. It's nice to start late and have plenty of episodes to watch, so glad we got rid of cable. There is one thing disconcerting about the series, the voice of the star, Bosch, Titus Welliver, is too much like Mike Rowe.
