Narragansett had some big winds yesterday

TWC was broadcasting from the deck of the Cost Guard House. I chuckle every time I see that, since that deck gets rebuilt after nearly every big storm due to storm damage...

I avoid those biohazard sites. I had two girls that brought everything short of the zika and ebola home from day care. Wife was a teacher and had been exposed to every germ bomb out there and had ironclad resistance built up but I got more than my share for many years.

Teachers have the best immunity levels, for sure. My mom (middle school teacher for 30 years) never gets a cold. Ever. Your wife has super-immunity. You are screwed, though.

Excellent! You ever can any tuna? A childhood buddy's Father used to can it in oil and it was delicious.

Childern, especially grandchildren are fantastic, however, they are little walking cesspools of germs.

In reverse. Shared with them October 4 is my intended retirement date.
I’m hopeful they don’t replace me.
They don’t know what I do, have little curiosity, and I have no back up.
Yup… replace me with nobody, please (insert evil laugh).

it's not uncommon, sadly. I kept reminding folks I was leaving, but never really trained a replacement. I left my personal procedures and documentation, but most of it was notes about what I did. I got one call asking for help fixing a problem. Once I got done explaining what they had to do to correctly fix the problem they were speechless. I told them I wasn't sitting around eating bonbons. They never called again.

*sigh* just ordered a new pair of glasses...progressive lenses for reading and distance vision...

being near-sighted, I can read without glasses, but not for hours like when I was younger...need the progressives mostly for driving so I can see info on dash and google maps as well as in the distance

Look... this is all a conspiracy brought about by IHOP. Sure, they are more widespread than Waffle House, their menu is better, the restaurants are nicer... but damn it a Waffle House pecan waffle with lots of butter and syrup?

It's like heroin right into the vein, man.

Military people and liberal/progressives like waffles. They either see the need of specific forms of order, or need a structure to comply with big government and big waffle.

Pancakes are formless freedom.

Let your inner pancake freak flag fly!

Bragger.

Started with 1.00... now have prescription readers and likely about to get some prgressive lenses. Distance vision was corrected with PRK in 1998. I was 20/15 for years... not no mo.

Spotted my first Cicada today must have been washed out in the rain - very colorless. Seems like a long time ago that the warning went out that they(it) was coming.

I need 1.0 if I have contacts in.

Wearing glasses I just read above or below the lenses. I've tried bifocals and mismatched contacts in the past, too much compromise.
