Maybe.
There is a statue of a guy on knee vomiting in front of The Pickle. Thought it looked vaguely familiar.

They stopped after I fell asleep in my garage recliner.

Brother in law sent me a picture of his basement flooded. I offered to help, he said he pulled out the carpet n stuff and had it covered. He's never had a basement, and I'm well acquainted with flooded basements so I went over anyway with a few fans, dehumidifiers, and a squeegee. Told him to go to the tool rental place and get a couple big boy dehumidifiers for a day, the a/c ductwork was covered in condensation and dripping. Hopefully he did or there's gonna be mold.

But afterwards i fell asleep watching the smoker and woke up without the hiccups.

Yeah... grillin some chikens in da back yard... set the thermapen down and it said 102... and it wasn't in da chikens.

Hotter'n a CA wildfire.

Weather dot com says 99. Thermapen is more accurate, I bet.

The opposite Al. Made it down to 144. Leaf blower got it going again.

Grilled burgers n corns for dinner. Put some of SOBs recommended ghost pepper BBQ sauce on mine. Pretty good, but too sweet for me. I don't like sugary stuff. I'll make it through the bottle tho. Probly blend it down with some vinegar to thin it out and cut the sugar. It would be a good glaze on ribs n stuff.

8track movie night... Zorba the Greek.

Bizarre movie. Don't get it.
Beating women, raping and murdering the one attractive woman for no reason?
Not burying a dead woman and robbing her of her possessions because they was French?
How/why did she die?

Odd, odd movie.

You're makin' me blush... quit it.

I didn't say I made the movie, I told you what the movie's budget was.

Old movies generally suck. Like black and white TV's and 3 channels... we got better.

I'm wading through older movies to see what I may have missed. Some good, some bad, some- so bad they are funny.

Shredded the beef. Could've been better if I paid attention to it during the smoke. Didn't have it stable yet before I fell asleep. Missed opportunity for smoke flavor. The colors are right, 1/8" deep red before the grey interior. Shredded it up, waiting for it to cool and gonna vacuum seal n freeze it for some future use.

Yup.

But also told me I better not be planning on going to sleep in our bedroom.

Happy 11th anniversary to the wife.

Gonna sleep in my garage recliner and set an alarm.Gotta be up early enough to see the boy before school (bus comes at 0700). Hung streamers and balloons for him to walk through in the morning.

I'd sleep in the basement but she bitches about my snoring from another floor. This is her anniversary gift. Im sure she'll be much happier when I don't wake up.

Vacuum packed the beef after shredding. Tossed em in the freezer. Not sure what imma use it for. It's tasty, but aside from hamburgers I don't really eat beef.

Spose I could load it up with cumin and call it tacos.

Got a 2lb top round too. Planning to slice it up for Philly cheesesteaks. That I love. Wife won't eat em tho.

But no worries about my end of dinner plans, boy's getting Giordanos pizza for his birthday dinner

I need a new camper. Used to have basically a second house when I has one. I'd be sleeping on a queen bed in an air conditioned room instead of this mosquito infested garage.

Fuggit I'm going to my basement.

Dammit, left my cell phone at work on the front desk. Did the remote lock thing, I'll pick it up tomorrow morning.

Some big wigs were in today. Watched them tour the place and provide direction on improvements (we had our yearly audit last week). Up until today, I thought our store manager was such a meathead, there is no way there could be anyone more incompetent to run a store. Upon watching and listening to the input from the regional manager, I stand corrected.

They were more concerned on where & what display should be relocated... stupid stuff like the produce department needs to mix up the colors of the produce displays - cucumbers shouldn't be next to the green peppers, put tomatoes in between with the white onions so it goes green, red, white, then green again. Are you franking kidding me? This is your focus on store improvements? It was so sad it was funny.

On the plus side, I was able to get out of the Asset Protection/secret shopper gig. Been lobbying for it for the past few months (dealing with people sucks). They hired in a retired prison guard/corrections officer chick (MACS, Walmart wants YOU!).

She'll be shadowing me for a couple weeks then I'm moving a supply/inventory gig in back. Supply, Logistics, and Inventory Coordinator or some silly BS name they use. I'm gonna call myself a Walmart SLIC (I made up my own acronym to sound important and stuff, I think it's pretty SLIC).

Pays a little more but I don't really care about that. The pay rate is not my major focus there. Just wanted to get out of dealing with the public and still take advantage of the free benefits.

Bucky, every time I meet a suit the competence goes down as their pay goes up.

Just remember, their holiday bonus is more than your salary.

The parking garage at work was built for patients so they didn't have to walk far to get to the outpatient services building. More spaces than patients so they opened the ground level to people with 20 years, and suits. They ran out of room so they bumped it to 25 years. Ran out of room again so they moved it to 30. Ran out of room so they changed it to administration and management only. Ran out of room so now it's only administration/suits allowed to park in the garage. Patients get the 2nd floor. Ground floor and 3rd floor all for suits.

Buddy of mine I haven't heard from in a while, was wondering why and texted him a few weeks back but no reply.

Shrugged it off but today someone posted a gofundme on facebook for him.

Had a stroke and is in a nursing home now. He's about the same age as me.

Mornin' dudes...

I'd work at WalMart for some extra scratch. Why not? If the wife decides she's done working she can take Tank to the dog park and I can get a part time gig.

Can't interfere with fishing... sorry.

Well we got two days before the rain settled in. Looks like the rehearsal dinner and wedding are going to be wet. Both are planned at a winery so hopefully there’s enough space inside.

Since every cornfield looks about the same through the rain we stopped at the spam museum in Austin Minnesota.

Ya can kinda make your own hours. Tell them the days and times you're available and they fit it in. I'm pretty flexible and fill in holes where needed (that's what she said).

I currently like doing 2nd shift. Wake up in the morning, brew a pot of coffee, do my school crap in the morning then go in around 2 or 3. Get out around 11-11:30, do some more school crap, go to bed and do it all over again the next day. I do about 30-35 hrs/week of mindless work.

Hardest part is biting your tongue while dealing with stupid people. But as a former CO, you probably are pretty experienced in that skill set already. Benis are good. Those applicable to you would be the 6% 401(k) matching & employee stock purchase plan.

Those applicable to me are the ones mentioned above plus the free tuition. Roughly milking them to the tune of $1,100-1,200/month of free money (but I'll still have to pay Uncle Sam for some of it). The benefits that I get are more than my monthly take home pay on paper... I'm a poor college student struggling to make ends meet... I'm looking for your sympathy. The sympathy cards are in isle D4.

For those that say Walmart is making money and profit by paying a minimum wage and working profits off of the backs of the little guy, I say bah humbug. They offer opportunities that most companies don't, ya just gotta take advantage of them.

Polly way out of your way but drive east to Green Bay, hook up with 8track, he'll meet you for a cigar at his club. I'll call my parent's and tell them to set up the guest room. Then drive north to Door County, I think there's some nice winery's there.

Yep way out-of-the-way for this trip. Got to spend time with the extended family on the wife side for the next couple of days. I have been to door County as well as herded with 8track in the past. Would be happy to do both again when the chance arises.

25 years ago I had a client who was the manager of the eyeglass store in a Super Walmart. He was making $86k/yr. plus benefits. I couldn't believe it till I saw his pay stubs or taxes. Sure enough, he certainly did!

It would be more than half. She's made calculated moves. House, at least half future income, car is hers by indiana laws. She's no dummy, she's made moves since day 1 to ensure she don't have to work, and if I bail, she still don’t have to work.

I gotta give credit to the player, but the game sucks balls. I have no interest in doing it again, so I stay.
