Took puppy dog to da beach today. He enjoyed it very much.

Ran into the surf, saw a wave coming, and turned tail and ran back out... a few times. It was a game for him. Loved running in the sand and on the hard packed sand, too.

My truck is dirty.

Weird day.
Boss kind of in my face in the morning, then left me mostly alone the rest of the day.

Now the interesting stuff. need to cross the Fox River (rare) and then head northeast to a redneck bar I have never been to, in the middle of nowhere, which tourists avoid.

Time for the Appalachian Wireless hat and a cheaper, flannel shirt, and get an order of fish and a drink.

Would be both better and worse if Macs was my copilot.

70% of no issues.

Giddyup!

Father in laws retirement day today. I took the day off, we took him out to lunch, now we are sitting on the patio having a few drinks and a few cigars.

Not a Rocky visit. One of the people on my team bar tends in this hole in the wall bar 45 minutes away.
Looking around, there was only one guy running his mouth, probably 19 and we’ll into his cups, who asked who I was here with. He didn’t get all the way onto his feet before he tripped on the footrest of the stool.

The truly spooky guy never took his eyes off of his glass for an hour.

In the end, zero issues.

64 degrees. Headed to 97.

Truck needs some TLC. Interior is dirty and has little dog hairs everywhere. Exterior is filthy.

Dried the hatch chilis from the garden and made a nice powder.

Next up is homemade sambal with habaneros, jalapeños, and Fresno chili from the garden. Adding in some rehydrated lantern and facing heaven chili from Schezuan. No idea him this will turn out.

What time should I be there Tom? Not sure what wine would pair with that so I'll bring bourbon and beer

Oh I got the wine covered!

Sambal turned out great. Hotter than the store variety.
