Yearly physical. Uneven results.

Even with all of the exercise, glucose the same and actually had my HDL went down. Fothermucker.

On the brighter side, the LDL is down 5 points and my BP was unrecognizable. 118/76.

That was with a cup of coffee in me.

Two more days until the self banishing to the back room at the circus. The inventory, stocking, logistics thingy. I'd had enough with dealing with the public, this one isolates me as much as possible from that stuff.

Only wanted to continue doing the Wally World thingy part time to ride out the next year while milking the free money out of them but the back room position requires full time hours. In the end it only adds about 8 ish more hours per week at the circus. I might still have to fill in as a fake Walmart cop here or there on an as needed/fill in basis since they are currently short on fake Walmart cop help. It was part of the deal. The head Walmart cop dude is one of a few managers that I respect there and I don't want to leave him hanging.

For some reason he takes his job seriously. He's well organized, treats his team that work under him and along side of him with respect, supports them, applies rules and expectations equal and fair across the board... Ya know, things a good manager should do. An oddity at the circus where I work.

Don't force me to win this one and name the next one the Never Gonna Give You Up 500. How'd you like that in your head for a week or two? Hmmm?

I'd like to thank those lab rats that were willing to help me with one of my class networking projects for this term.

I chose, as my project, to set up a media server to share with friends and family using Plex. So far It's working on my LAN, with desktop windows systems, smart TVs and Roku streaming devices. Pretty easy and straight forward

The next step was to get it connected to a few clients outside the LAN and, preferably, on multiple platforms. Took a little troubleshooting but the Zombie Celticbomber (still not sure if he's on his first death, second, or third) locked in on an Android platform, a neighbor locked in on his Mac, bgz on his (?) platform. I still have a few more that I'd like to connect with and see how it works on their end to stream movies, TV shows, music off of my little server I've got going.

Just wanted to tip my hat to the brothers out there that have been guinea pigs for this little project.

Happy Gridlife danm. Maybe in your second life you could run a food truck?

Was supposed to be in the mountains right now but plans changed. Mother Nature decided it has been too mild this summer so she is throwing in a whole bunch of 108-109 days just for kicks.

s.

I looked into it, had a friend with a short school bus he wanted to sell cheap at the same time my brother in law bought a foreclosed restaurant property to demolish so a lot of the parts to make it happen were available cheap.

But the logistics of doing it legitimately even if just for Gridlife events were too much.

I like the setup I've got. Just need to buy another camper. Trying to do it without an established loadout is a pain.

Failing as a Layabout today.

50 minutes dog walk
10 miles of biking.
Shucked six ears of sweet corn.
Watered the lawn.
Swept half the garage.
Burned all of the downed sticks in the fire pit.
Fed Marvin an almond.

Cottage cheese, a beef stick, breakfast bar and coffee for lunch.

Trying to keep my eyes open long enough to watch tv. Failure inevitable.

Me too. Didn't fall asleep until 2am because I swam laps hard yesterday at 5:00pm. Body didn't come to a nice rest until then. Got to drain the pool and clean the kitchen, then back to the couch or bed to watch some more tv.Boo hoo!

I started strong... 45 minutes on level 7/8 on the stairmaster. That damn near killed me...

Then dog park with the pupperoni to kick his soccer ball around.

Since around 10am we've been pretty good at the layabout. And since it's after noon... prolly time for a beer. It IS Thirsty Thursday afterall.

Got back from the range, saddled up the backpack blower. Cleaned the decks, our driveway, the cul-de-sac, and the neighbor's driveway. Not too many leaves yet, but they are starting to fall. Lots of rocks though, the dang deer have a knack for kicking gravel from the sides of the driveway and down the hill.

Finally got all of the hurricane debris picked up. Good thing. About the time I finished the vegetation contractor the city hired to pick up the debris turned down my road. Glad that’s over. Oh, the generator I ordered a week and a half ago was delivered today. Need to unbox it and do a test run before the next storm. Also, need to fill my propane bottles so I have fuel to run it.

Health update. So I changed my diet about a week and a half ago. Mostly fruits and veggies now. Very little meat. Lost 10#’s so far. Also, got off the blood pressure pills and statin drug. Feel 100,000 % better. No more body aches. Able to work for hours a day instead of only a few minutes here and there. My stomach has settled down so much that I can go grocery shopping without worrying if I’m going to have to may a run for the bathroom half way through.

He had a chuckit soccer ball and a chuckit football. He is on his second chuckit soccer ball... The boy likes the soccer ball better.

He will play fetch with me for about 10-15 minutes when we arrive. After that he finds his buddy, Cody, and wrestles for an hour. If Cody is not there, he has a few other dogs that wrestle like he does. He plays rough.

Anth, I've been eating a lot of grilled chicken and Kale salad. More fruits and veggies, too.

Still holding fast around 177-182 depending on my cheat day. A brother needs a pizza every now and then.

My initial goal was 170. My body will not cooperate, no matter what I eat or even if I fast... so unless I start buying chicken at the Winstrol market (not Winco... Winstrol, which is an anabolic steroid) I am probably stuck.

Some of the medical community’s stats are ridiculous and that way by design. They keep lowering the ranges for lab work results to trigger them to shell out whatever the pharm sales person is hawking.

My doctor is leaving. Will miss him. He saw my BMI is 28.4% @ 6’2” 205. Said I was Obviously Fit and to pay no attention to the number. Because he was changing into a different medical field, he didn’t suggest pills or special diet for my….fatness.

Incidentally.. we had a moment. He thought it was okay to screw with me when playing with his toys.

Yes. I'm playing too. It's okay to be goofy.

No. You can't tease ME with your toys. When I say "drop it" You drop it. If you TRY to be dominant, I reserve the right to drop your ass in your tracks with no remorse.

Not sure how many folks have been the pops to a pitbull.

They are loyal, loving, fiercely family oriented dogs. They are not mean. They are not vicious. They are very, very, very easily trained.

Step 1. Love them.
Step 2. Pay attention to them
Step 3. Lead them (be their leader, they only want to follow a strong leader)
Step 4: Be consistent (the moment you show weakness, they will quit following you)
Step 5: Once you have their trust... KEEP IT.
