Curious, how does it know you are filling them? I mean, does the horn blow every time they reach the perfect PSI (ifin it's cold, mine start lower than 32psi but warm up to 32 as I drive) or only when the valve caps are off?

TPMS must notice the sudden increase in PSI I am guessing.

Honestly? I do not know. I have my own tire pressure guage and I use it when I fill them. I've pulled up to "America's Tire" and had them fill them, too... they have this machine that they use. They check your door sill to see the proper pressure and then set the machine to that and it stops when it hits that number.

Only beeped once there. You'd think it would beep for each tire, right? When I fill it myself... I get the occasional beep but not for all 4 tires. Must be the TPMS sensors.

Waz up?

Got contacts- for the first time every today. Now, I won't have to deal with the combo of eyeglass frame and hearing-aids behind the ears. No more dropping or losing hearing aids when putting on and taking off eyeglasses. WINNING!!!

Noah is still waiting to hear from three more law schools. He did NOT get into UF even though his LSAT is in 90th percentile and his undergrad grades were 50th percentile for admissions. No surprise as we didn't expect he'd get in. Too competitive and I don't have the "political juice" to get it done. So, that's not a big deal. And, I don't think it would even be the best school for him anyway, prestige aside- as it is geared to place students in "Big Law".

He did hear from Stetson, his "safety school" already and they want him real bad. Gave him a guaranteed $90k academic merit scholarship (so long as he maintains a 2.3 GPA- LOL!). Hoping he gets in elsewhere (FSU, Miami and FIU) so we will have better negotiating leverage on the amounts of the scholarships we think/hope he'll be getting.

Taking niece down to Boca Raton and back to visit FAU on Monday, then taking Noah to St. Pete on Wednesday to visit Stetson Law School.

Been real warm, but still nice weather lately. I am still waiting for a week of 75F or bellow each day, but I am not holding my breath...

Sound advice for you: Do NOT chop habaneros and then put in/take out your contacts. Life lesson from when I was young and short sighted

Or, touch your D.I.C.K to take a piss- a mistake I once made my first day working at a Friday's restaurant when I was like 18.

Played little league when I was 12. I was probably the worst hitter, evah!

Turns out I needed glasses. My hitting and fielding improved exponentially. I mean... like, I was terrible, and then holy crap, I was really good!

Wore the damn things for years. Couldn't do contacts. My eyes would dry out faster than a raindrop in the Sahara. Then got the PRK surgery in 1998. 24 years later and I can still see distance just fine. Can't see anything up close without reading glasses, though.

Same, but 3rd grade so like 8ish? I remember my best friend offering elementary support, "I don't think you should get glasses. You'll look stupid."

Wonder if the tire sensors would allow you to override them. In winter, 33 instead of 32. Means the tires only need an additional airing up in the depths of winter instead of twice.

Been doing this free at Discount Tire last few years. Beats lugging quarters to the gas station and trying to check all four tires and beat the timer. Give the kid a buck tip. Kid prolly makes $20/hour in tips + salary.

I got glasses around age 5. I still remember that day vividly.

I'd never actually seen a bird or squirrel before.

Leaves grew on trees, individually.

Signs on the sides of the road became readable.

The school counselor that told my parents in front of me that I may be mentally retarded said I was fine.

I would love to do vision correction surgery. But I see so many surgical complications in general in my line of work I just can't bring myself to accept the risk for ANY optional surgery. My insurance actually covers most of it but the risk/benefit doesn't work out for me.

I used to have really good eye sight but past 10 yrs or so have been using readers (1.5x) for close up work.

Didn't think I needed "real glasses" but about 5 yrs ago I had my eyes checked simply because my insurance covered yearly eye exams... so I thought, why not? They said my distance vision could use some corrections. It didn't require a strong prescription and they had a lab on site to make lenses within a couple of hours. I remember driving home and WOW! I can actually read the road signs way further away than before.

For me it was one of those things that happen as you age, it creeps up on you. Slowly distance stuff started to blur but I didn't notice it until I got the glasses.

That reminds me, I should schedule an appointment for an eye visit - it's been a couple years. Last time I was there they said there was something up with one of my optic nerves and they want to monitor it (seems like every time I go to a health professional they find something they want to monitor). Plus I'd like to get another set specs for a back up pair while insurance still covers it. I have a backup pair of bifocals but I don't like bifocals, I want to stay with the progressive lenses I current have for my day to day specs.

Get some new frames that make me look intelligent and stuff.

I too need some new glasses, already superglued my glasses arm several times... it's time.

I'm going to get me some cool prescription shades while I'm at it, maybe some Oakleys or something.

Covered this... it makes almost no difference for your daily driver cars to use nitrogen. The air we breathe is 78% nitrogen, so what real difference is it making? None.

Nascar is a different story.

Do you have to have had your tires purchased from DT, or do they do it as a nicety for future business consideration?

Unsure if it was overt or covert action, but in the wake of my misspent night of excess, I somehow got corralled into lunch, coffee, TJ Maxx & Sketchers. I surrendered on ever purchase so I could finally get back three hours later and $250 lighter.

Nope. Free of charge at Discount Tire or America's Tire. Busines model, I suppose.

CA state law... gas stations have to provide air and water for free. No pumping quarters into the machine... just push the button.

They're too busy passing out free needles, pipes, and drugs like narcan to the homeless dope addicts. And then building them free housing to destroy.

On the taxpayer dime, of course.

Well it must make some difference............ I adjust my tire pressure multiple times on my Tacoma every winter and hers needed one adjustment in 3 years. Not sure but maybe our 60 degree temp swings have something to do with it,25-85 in one day is nothing here..My next Tacoma will have nitrogen filled tires.

He means me. He doesn't wish me the best because he doesn't like me for some reason.

I don't really care though... I think the reason might be that I never sent him free sh*t like a bunch of othet people here.

I think he would like me more if I sent him free sh*t... but that's not going to happen.
