Resale's pretty fickle in comic book world though depending on crowd interest at the time. For example, New Mutants #98 (1st appearance of Deadpool) could be found in $0.50 bins everywhere for 20yrs running. Once the movie release date got closer in 2016, I started seeing the same issue for sale for $350ea.
Yeah, my nephews went every delivery day and bought comic, put them in plastic, and filed them during the 80's and 90's. I tried telling them the reason the old ones "are" valuable is because we read them into dust. Few survived. Like baseball cards. We traded them then used them to make our bikes sound like motorcycles. LOL.
With all the people saving that stuff now, they're not worth squat anymore. Unless, like the deadpool thing there is a spike in interest. And if there is, sell the damned things.
