Huh. I thought I was the only one. Now you're telling me I have to share? Dammit.**

So, I'm still a beekeeper. Got out to check the hive coming out of winter today and that thing is packed with bees. Very happy about that. ThumpUp

buncha bees are landing in our pool and dying...neighbor has a hive up in his eaves...we told him he should get a specialist to remove it safely...he chose to spray it with some insecticide...killed some of the bees, but the hive seems to have recovered

I’m planning on disassembling my GEO Tracker that I bought from Stiegs.
The purple velvet accents are starting to fade. Still don’t know why he did that. Think
Gonna customize it. Maybe you could give me a few pointers Spey.
It’s gonna be a beaut. I mean really, really nice...

Got up at 6 and was out the door for a walk at 6;30... it's a freakin ghost town out there.... I love it!

Anyone see the Pink moon? Even in the middle of the city you could see the halo around the moon. Bright as heck and crystal clear!

Still no joy on my oversea's shipment... shipped March 13th. My package that shipped on March 16th arrived early last week.

Think I'm gonna just sit and wait for my mailman today... have a little chat.

Hell yas, that baby will be worth about 2 grand when finished. My 53 buick Skylark convertible with a nail head v8 might be worth a little more. But the real reason for the frame off is it is one of my 3 buckets list cars. I finished one of them 3 years ago. A 58 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible. Haven't found the last one yet, and I may not ever. My next project I will do everything but paint. A 50 Merc lead sled with a crate 502, double nitrous, tubbed, solid bar steel roll cage. Some classic touches, Desoto grill, mild chop, either purple of black so deep you could shave in the reflection. And a little frame reinforcement. I need to decide on the transmission before doing the engineering for that. I will use it one year and then sell it, already have a deal with the buyer.

Cleaned up the yard a bit. Tried to mow but kept getting stuck, still too soupy.

Cleaned the chicken coop, swapped out winter heated water tank for the summer tank.

Dumped my sandbags from the truck bed into the swamp. Trying to reclaim a bit, think I'll get a few dump trucks of dirt when things dry up a bit and fill in some more. Its creeped about 10ft into the yard since I moved in.

Fixed some holes in the chicken fence.

Cleaned out the shed.

Need to get oil n filters for truck and wife's car. Lawnmower too, but I will order that filter so I don't have to go to 3 stores to find one.

saw the pink moon last night a little after dusk, when it was above the horizon...went out again several times to see it in the dark night sky, but it was too cloudy to see it whole again...

it's been cloudy and raining the past couple days, and we're due for a few more rainy days...makes staying at home a little tougher

Well, I just woke up and before I sat down to a cup of coffee my phone rings. Work asking me to not go in tonight, but work day shift tomorrow because both sgt's are out...

I told them I had a covid test scheduled for 0945 so I'd have to dip out to go get it done... they put me off until the results come back. d'oh!

Serves 'em right. They should empty the place and bomb it with anti-viral chemicals.

Took the boy for a motorcycle ride. Bike's not running too well but I don't feel like working on it. Really wanna just get rid of it and get something newer and fuel injected. Bike's 42 years old, went through it all in 2008 but didn't open the engine, just adjusted valves and stuff. Tires are now 12 years old too.

I recommend you look meaningfully at your wife and tell her:

"The bike's 42 years old. Who the hell wants to ride anything that's 42 years old?"

Keep staring straight at her... then say

"I'm just going to get rid of it and get something newer."

Is anyone else bothered by the measurement 5'12"?

Sounds fake to me. Does she live in Canada and we've never met her?

Fun....

My wife refuses to acknowledge she's 5'5". Keeps claiming she's 5'6". Which was still an inch below my minimum height requirement of 5'7"

Bottom line? I got cheated.

2020, man, this’ll go down in the history books. Monkeydad is doing better, but our plans on moving him to BHM are on hold due to shelter in place. Mrs. Monkey lost her job, and is using this time to get her real estate license (been advocating this for 15 years - she’ll be great at it), monkeyboys all good - both working from their shared apartment. I’ve essentially been working from home since March 5th due to some odd circumstances leading up to quarantine.

Smoking a lot of really good cigars, drinking too much whiskey. It’s actually been really nice. I work from about 7 to 4, then Mrs Monkey and I have cocktail hour on the deck and watch the news. Weather’s been great. Really, even with all the bs, the last month, for us, has been relatively peaceful.
