Decided a little after noon yesterday that I wanted to go to the high Sierras for some fishing...
Only takes about 2 and a half hours to get to the lake I wanted to fish and the severe winter storm warning wasn't set to kick in until 6...
Dropped the kids off with my parents, loaded up the wife and gear and jammed up there...
Got there around 4, hiked in, each caught a trout on a lure, hiked back out and got to the car right as the rain started....
Saw a couple clusters of deer, found the gate open to my favorite lake (good info to have, public info says still closed), waved hello to the 2500 year old seqoias in McKinley grove, smoked an opus x from delta (thank you much sir), and took a nice slow drive home...
Darn near perfect day... And never got anywhere near another human other than my wife...
