My wife has been taking the SANDOZ brand of
hydroxychloroquine, (supposedly, the gold standard for this drug), for four years, as part of her Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment.
Her last prescription delivery did not contain the SANDOS brand, but the ACTAVIS brand.
I'm assuming that since SANDOS is considered the gold standard, then ACTIVAS must be of a lesser quality, although my assumption may be erroneous, as the ACTIVAS cost more. ($86 as opposed to $53) More expensive = more better, right ?
According to the SANDOZ website, they have sent, 130M doses to the Gubment, and that's why there is none to go around to the people who have been taking it for years.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see if the ACTIVAS does the job.
